The Mural Consulting team is lead by seasoned executives who have a proven track record of success in SaaS.  Our management team includes:

Alex Hawkinson – Founder and Chairman

Before founding Mural Ventures and Mural Consulting, Alex was CEO of Apptix, a global publicly traded software company and largest provider of SaaS Hosted Exchange in the world. Prior to Apptix, Alex was COO of the U.S. operations of TeleComputing, a multinational IT outsourcing service provider and Executive Vice President and General Manager of HostOne, a multinational application hosting and managed services business.

Reed Overfelt – Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining Mural Consulting as CEO, Reed Overfelt was the General Manger of Microsoft Corporation's Mid-Atlantic Region with responsibility for marketing and sales to small- and medium-sized companies and has a track record of dramatically increasing customer satisfaction and transforming organizations from slow growth to high growth. Reed is a recognized expert in channel sales and data-driven marketing and has created numerous innovative new businesses and programs including Microsoft's worldwide Hosting Provider business. Prior to Microsoft, Reed served on Vice President Al Gore's National Performance Review staff, co-leading the Net Results project which funded the development of the first Internet Web browser NCSA Mosaic.

Matt Soska – Chief Financial Officer

Before joining Mural, Matt was CFO of Apptix, a global publicly traded software company and largest provider of SaaS Hosted Exchange in the world. Prior to Apptix, Matt was Vice President of U.S Operations at TeleComputing, a multinational IT outsourcing service provider, Vice President of Business Operations and Technology Services of HostOne, a multinational application hosting and managed services business, and Program Director at Aspen Systems, a large Federal IT consulting firm recently acquired by Lockheed Martin.

Jeff Hagins – Chief Technology Officer

Jeff has more than 25 years of experience in positions as Chief Technology Officer, Senior Vice President of Product Management, Chief Architect, Vice President of Engineering, and Board Member for companies such as Lockheed Martin, J.D. Edwards, TeleComputing, Apptix, Dynix, SMBLive, and now Mural Consulting. Jeff provides a unique perspective on the SaaS Industry, having worked as CTO for SaaS ISVs such as SMBLive, as a CTO for pure-play Application Hosters such as Apptix, and even as the CIO for Dynix, a mid-market company purchasing SaaS offerings.

Mike Jalonen – Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Mike joined Mural as Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Mural’s acquisition of OnDemand Solutions, a business and technical services company that focused on SaaS, which Mike co-founded and served as CEO. Before joining Mural, Mike was the founder of Customized Business Solutions, Inc. (CBS), a custom software development firm focused on small to medium businesses, Director of Sales and Marketing at Integrated Tech, and CEO at ThinkLogic, which is where Mike began developing a new business model offerings unique to "Software as a Service" (SaaS) companies.

James Stolp – Vice President of Creative

James joined Mural as Vice President of Creative with the Mural acquisition of Zipperstudios, the marketing and design studio that James founded and served as CEO. Zipperstudios provided graphic design, brand development, user interface, user experience and online marketing services to a diverse client base including America Online, CareerBuilder, Network Solutions, VeriSign, FortuneCity, The Diversity Channel, TrueCareers and Sun Microsystems. James leads all creative design activities for Mural and Mural clients, including advanced user interface and user experience analysis and design.

Andrew Brooks – Vice President of Delivery (Telco)

Andrew has worked in services and software sales and marketing, for both startups and Fortune 500 organizations, for over 10 years. Prior to joining Mural, Andrew had global responsibility for managed services solution definition, marketing materials positioning, field enablement and sales operations for Managed Operations Services within Sun Microsystems. Before Sun, Andrew was Director of Sales at SevenSpace, with responsibility for channel sales and marketing invigoration with NTT, Verio, XO Communications and AT&T.

Dan Blake – Vice President of Delivery (Service Provider)

Dan brings a wealth of experience in IT Consulting to the role of Vice President of Delivery at Mural Consulting.  He provides strategic consulting services to Mural’s SaaS ISV clients and manages Mural’s SaaS provider practice areas.  Dan was formerly the founder and CEO of Intelligix, Inc., an IT Consulting firm specializing in CRM.  He also held positions as VP of Consulting for Enterprise Technology Group, and IT Director for Spherix, a call center and information services business.  Dan is also Co-Founder and Managing Partner of ON-COURSE.COM, a SaaS company offering vertical business solutions and add-ons for CRM platforms. 

James Murfin – Vice President of Delivery (Hosting Provider)

Before joining Mural, James led development of one of the first channel development groups for software-as-a-service at Microsoft Corporation. James’ team was responsible for enabling new channel partners for Microsoft’s software solutions and services as well as managing and growing existing providers including BT, Vodafone and MCI. Prior to Microsoft, James worked in both the sales and marketing groups at IBM for Networking Hardware and Global Services.

Julie Citroen – Vice President of Delivery (ISV)

Julie joined Mural as a Vice President of Delivery through the acquisition of OnDemand Solutions, which she co-founded and served as President and COO.  Prior to OnDemand, Julie had more than 20 years experience in business analysis and strategic planning, primarily relating to software applications, software development and software delivery as the owner of her own consulting company, a Principal at A-Frame Software Company, and at Aurora National Life Company (formerly Executive Life Insurance).  Throughout her career, Julie has worked with senior executives in a broad range of industries to help them identify business opportunities, address complex issues and to use technology to maximize operational efficiency and drive their businesses forward.
